2019 CFL Predictions Week 4

Montreal at Hamilton
I assume the Alouettes will be better than last week in the Hammer, but it won't be good enough. Hamilton is just a way better team at this junction.
Tiger-Cats 39 Alouettes 18

Winnipeg at Ottawa
I'm surprised how good Ottawa has been. The Bombers have been solid as expected. Ottawa's luck runs out this week even at home.
Bombers 29 REDBLACKS 17

BC at Toronto
The Lions finally get a win for Reilly. The Argos just aren't very good, at all.
Lions 30 Argonauts 25

Calgary at Saskatchewan
The Stamps are injured and not last year's Cup winning team and the Riders aren't bad, even with Collaros injured. Riders win one at home.
Riders 24 Stampeders 19

2019 CFL Predictions Week 3

Edmonton at Winnipeg
The Eskimos are better than I thought, but not that great. The Bombers are legit good this year and at home. Have to go with the Bombers on this one.
Bombers 29 Eskimos 22

Montreal at Hamilton
The Ticats annihilated Toronto last week away and are at home this week. The Alouettes might be better by the end of the season. That's not right now.
Ticats 40 Alouettes 13

BC at Calgary
BC has lost two games with Mike Reilly showing that maybe they have cap problems. Calgary somehow lost to Ottawa at home. Can't see the Stamps losing at home again, even though they aren't last year's team.
Stampeders 28 Lions 19

Toronto at Saskatchewan
Will Toronto be better than last week? Hard to be that bad twice in a row. The Riders are decent, but not great and have lost Collaros for a while. Home field advantage helps but Toronto is just bad now.
Riders 22 Argonauts 13

2019 CFL Predictions Week 2

Saskatchewan at Ottawa
I didn't expect Ottawa to beat Calgary last week, so they're better than I thought. The Riders lost Collaros as their starting QB after the Lawrence hit in Hamilton which is problematic. The Riders defence is decent, but Ottawa is at home which gives them the edge.
REDBLACKS 20 Riders 18

BC at Edmonton
Another who knows game, without a lot of data. BC lost to the Winnipeg at home which isn't a good sign. Edmonton's offence to me isn't great. Normally I would take the Esks at home, but I'll go with Reilly as the X-factor.
Lions 28 Eskimos 26

Hamilton at Toronto
Toronto didn't play last week, so there's a not a lot on them. The Ticats were somewhat disappointing considering they injured Collaros basically right away. The offence was especially week. I'll take Hamilton though just because of their overall strength, including Canadians and defence.
Tiger-Cats 25 Argonauts 22

And that's all there is this week for games. Halifax needs to become a team pronto to balance out the schedule.

2019 CFL Predictions Week 1

The blog is back!

Saskatchewan at Hamilton
The Ticats are looking strong in the East. The Riders are a bit shambolic after Chris Jones shuffled off to the NFL. Zach Collaros is I'm sure capable of playing well on occasion, but I think the odds of excellent play every game isn't that high. On defence, Jones was good at that; I expect regression.
Tiger-Cats 25 Roughriders 17

Montreal at Edmonton
Edmonton doesn't seem that great to me. They did pick up Dean and Unamba from the Cats at linebacker which is solid. Losing Reilly at quarterback hurts more though. Still Montreal doesn't have an owner and just booted their coach right before the season. So enjoy your week one home win Edmonton.
Esks 29 Alouettes 13

Ottawa at Calgary
Ottawa did little in the off-season. The Stamps lost a lot of players in the off-season but did resign Bo Levi Mitchell. The Stamps always seem to find new players, so while I think the Stamps are worse this year, I doubt they will be that much worse. Ottawa I think will be better by the end of the season, but their quarterback issues will take time to sort out. Plus the Stampeders are at home.
Stampeders 30 REDBLACKS 19

Winnipeg at BC
This is interesting. Winnipeg should be good again this year. BC should improve from 9 and 9 last year with Reilly at quarterback. But Reilly is earning a ton of salary camp money, so BC I'm sure may have some talent problems elsewhere unless some cheap new Americans play well. Somebody has to win on the road this week in the CFL so why not Zoidberg, I mean Winnipeg.

2017 CFL Power Rankings Week 9

1. Calgary Stampeders
Beat a decent team in BC and aren't super injured.

2. Edmonton Eskimos
No longer undefeated and still with a lot of injuries. Now have John Chick which may help, although he didn't do much for Hamilton this season.

3. Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Beat the undefeated Eskimos. At home, but still pretty good for the Bombers.

4. Toronto Argonauts
Weird, but they are 4 and 5 and hammered the Alouettes. Montreal castoffs are paying off for Jim Popp.

5. Saskatchewan Rough Riders
Don't look now, but the Riders could win the cross-over spot. Could be good for East playoff attendance.

6. BC Lions
Ugh. Pummeled by the Riders. Even Hamilton lost by less.

7. Ottawa REDBLACKS
Beat Hamilton. On the road. That's something. I guess.

8. Montreal Alouettes
Back to being crap.

9. Hamilton Tiger-Cats
Played OK for a bit. Then didn't. Then lost by double digits. That's Hamilton this year.

2017 CFL Predicitions Week 9

Edmonton at Winnipeg
Edmonton is still hurt and the Bombers are at home. I'm sure the Bombers will find a way to screw this up, but I'll go with them anyways.
Blue Bombers 26 Eskimos 19

Ottawa at Hamilton
Crap versus crap although in Hamilton's case supercrap. This is a chance for the Ticats to win, but they are having a lot of ratio problems due to injuries on the defensive line. So Ottawa it is I guess.
REDBLACKS 28 Tiger-Cats 14

Calgary at BC
The Lions didn't look good last week against the Riders.
Stampeders 33 Lions 20

Montreal at Toronto
Alouettes. I guess.
Alouettes 29 Argonauts 11

2017 CFL Power Rankings Week 8

1. Calgary Stampeders
Sure they don't have the best record, but they're somewhat healthy.

2. Edmonton Eskimos
Undefeated, really injured. Doesn't seem to matter too much.

3. Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Stomped Hamilton on the road. Given that it is Hamilton, not such a big deal.

4. BC Lions
Sure they lost bad to the Riders, but that will happen from time to time.

5. Saskatchewan Roughriders
A healthy beating of BC and the Riders are better than any East team.

6. Montreal Alouettes
Sure they're beating Eastern teams, but to be king of the East, that's all you need. Sad.

7. Ottawa REDBLACKS
Odd to see the Grey Cup champs so low, but they'll win a game sooner or later.

8. Toronto Argonauts
Is Ricky Ray healthy or not?

9. Hamilton Tiger-Cats
Total dumpster fire. Now with injury and riot problem goodness.
